The very first Flymo mower was invented in 1964 by Karl Dahlman, after he'd been inspired by Sir Christopher Cockerell's revolutionary floating hovercraft designs. Ever since then, Flymo have been incorporating unique and groundbreaking scientific principals into their designs.

Outdoor Maintainence Range

Flymo's figurehead mowers are powered rotary push mowers that use a turbine above the spinning blades to drive air downwards, thereby creating an air cushion that lifts the mower off the ground like a hovercraft. Flymo also manufacture a complete range of both electric and petrol powered rotary mowers too, along with garden rakes, garden vacs, domestic shredders, trimmers and tractors, plus a range of cordless multi-tool attachments.
