Designed for a more rugged approach to mowing, the flail mowers operate by the blade's ability to swing backwards and forwards along small chain links, giving much more versatility to cutting and preventing the blades from sticking if obstructed.
Rugged, robust, go-anywhere petrol powered flail mowers are designed to operate in the roughest terrain, making them ideal for dealing with overgrown areas and verges, tough grasses, or for clearing undergrowth. However they are also frequently used for fine lawn care as well. A major advantage of flail mowers is their ability to create fine mulch from the clippings and to spread it evenly over the ground.
