Ground anchors are the ultimate in motorbike security; designed to be permanently fixed to the ground in a garage or store, they make a bike completely theft-proof. There are various types of ground anchor - the most popular being the telescopic. The main body of the ground anchor is firmly fixed within a concrete floor but retracts to make the space useable by other vehicles when the bike is not in position. Other types feature strengthened steel ground anchor bolts with ball bearings to prevent them being drilled out.

The body of a ground anchor is made from strengthened steel. The best models feature a ball bearing with a tamper-proof plug system and a resin based thread in all the lock bolts, making them impossible to break open.
