Rotary Drills

Rotary drills are electric drills that are used for boring holes in masonry, wood, or concrete. Mains-operated rotary drills allow for longer operation times since there's no risk of batteries "running down," and can therefore be used on tougher materials. With the relevant attachments, rotary drills can also be used for a variety of other activities, such as sanding or grinding. Chucks, or blades, come in a range of sizes and shapes to suit the material being drilled in to.

The substance into which you'll be drilling also determines the speed of the drill you'll need, so many of our rotary drills come with variable speed settings. A slow drilling speed allows for very precise drilling into steel or cast iron, while higher speeds are better suited to more forgiving materials such as dry wall.
