Oil-free direct drive air compressors deliver oil-free air for small, low-pressure spray guns used for airbrush spraying and touching up. They're also suitable for general-purpose use such as inflation and use with nailers and staple guns, delivering enough power for these low-consumption tools. Oil-free drive compressors are virtually maintenance free thanks to the simplicity of their design. They are fully automated with a pressure cut-out switch, and clearly visible tank and outlet pressure gauges.
Portability is a great attribute, and the smaller oil-free direct drive compressors are light and compact. They also have a carrying handle for easy transport. Most models have a wipe-clean protective plastic casing surrounding the pump and motor which maximises air-flow for cooling.
