Bench grinders are a necessity in the engineering workshop where tools such as drill bits, chisels, and shears must be kept in the sharpest of conditions. Blunt equipment gives poor results and can lead to accidents. The bench grinder is an inexpensive power tool that can sharpen all types of hand tools or power tool accessories, increasing both efficiency and safety in the workshop.

Double Grinding Technique

The bench grinder has two grinding wheels. One is coated with coarse grey aluminium oxide, the other with a finer grit white stone. The white stone is particularly suited to sharpening hand tools used for wood turning. The grinding wheels can also be used for shaping small pieces of metal and for polishing metal engineering components.
