Table saws are ideal for both repair jobs around the home, or for full renovation projects. Able to crosscut wood of various sizes, they can also rip wood or board to an accurate width along its length. Cutting is easy because the wood or board is fed into the saw by the operator, enabling tight control of the action at all times.

Table saws are portable and designed to sit on a worktable when in use. There are two types of table saw:

• Fixed base
• Sliding table

Both come in various sizes. A rule of thumb is that the larger the model, the larger the pieces of wood it can rip easily. Larger models also often have optional table extensions for extra versatility. Whatever the project, there is a table saw made to do it.
