Thirty years ago, OutdoorChef decided to take a tried and tested product and work on making it even better - and guess what? They did just that! With typical Swiss ingenuity, they sat down together at their head-shed and pondered on ways in which to improve the convection capabilities of the iconic 'Kettle' BBQ first invented American George Stephen's way back in the 50s. Never tell the Swiss it can't be done, because after years of development they've reinvented the perfect barbecue and given it warp engines!

Like all good ideas, it's a simple one - the revolutionary funnel system at the heart of their kettles completely eliminates flare-ups and unpleasant smoke problems, making your food delicious and perfectly cooked every time.

The patented crater position is the way you set your Outdoor Chef BBQ if you want to grill or bake. Simply flip the internal funnel into the concave position and replace the lid. This creates an instant crater convection effect meaning you get perfect results without even having to turn the food!

Turn the funnel to its convex position and the heat rises through the centre of the cone, creating very high temperatures, perfect for grilling and roasting - and you have the volcano position.

Whichever position you choose, the fat from your food will either drip slowly through the centre of the kettle and out into a drip tray in the bottom or will be vaporised, producing a wonderful authentic BBQ flavour.
