Radial Arm Saws
The radial arm saw has come a long way since its invention in the 1920s. Today it is a highly effective power tool that can cut wood and metals to length, including extruded aluminium. The material to be cut is fixed in place on the cutting table and the blade is pulled through the wood or metal. Radial arm saws are designed so that as the blade is moved towards the operator, with the blade rotating the other way, taking any dust or shavings in the opposite direction.
Multi-Tasking Cut Control
As well as straight cuts, the versatile radial arm saw can cope well with mitres, bevels and dado rail mouldings. With experience, it becomes second nature to use a good, balanced and firm grip to control the speed of the cut, bringing in great results every time.
