Scroll Saws

Scroll saws are very similar in overall design to bandsaws, but they posses a single fine blade that moves up and down rather than one that rotates around a set of wheels. The scroll saw blade operates at very high speeds - up to 1500 rpm - but rarely causes serious injuries, although it is advisable to use strict safety procedures, and never to put fingers or hands near the blade. Deep Cutting Saws Scroll saws are ideal for intricate woodwork, carpentry, and for cutting detailed shapes out of a variety of other materials. They are extremely versatile, capable of cutting wood up to 50 millimetres thick, slicing through sheet metal, and also great for fine work, such as jewellery making.
