Although similar in style to the 235E, the Husqvarna 240E chainsaw offers a higher specification of the former. The machine utilises a 14" (35cm) bar length and delivers a power output of 1.5kw with a displacement of 38.2cm. The unit weighs just 4.7kg and features ergonomically designed handles that provide an excellent gripping position whilst the slim design and high centre of gravity ensure comfortable use of the machine. Designed with a three piece forged crankshaft for robust handling, the saw has integral dampers that absorbs excessive vibration and an inertia chain brake that protects the operator in the event of kickback. The chainsaw incorporates X-Torq technology that produces lower emissions with a 20% fuel saving whilst delivering increased torque and power as its needed.

The e-series range of machines have been designed by Husqvarna to provide better handling and easier starting whilst offering a high specification machine for the most demanding user. Featuring tool-less chain tensioning with a combined start/stop and choke control, the machine incorporates a fuel primer and smart-start ignition that presents a chainsaw that is far simpler to operate. Low vibration technology insulates the engine from the saw handles by the use of steel springs that are less sensitive to heat and UV light. Also protecting the carburetor from malfunction is a unique air injection feature that removes dust from the air intake port ensuring use over extended periods.
