The Outdoorchef Porto 480 18" / 45cm gas barbercue uniquely combines the very popular kettle bbq with the added benefits of gas cooking, featuring the unique funnel technology of Outdoor chef that gives you perfect bbq cooking, baking and grilling results without the flare ups and burning that you experience with most other bbq's. This grill features an enamelled bowl, lid, burner, small and large funnel and grill plate so you can be sure of long service and easy cleaning.
With push button Piezo ignition starting the Porto 480 could not be easier. And when you are using the grill in oven mode with the lid down there is even a thermometer built into the lid so you can control the heat setting perfectly with the variable gas burner control knob.
For added versatility and convenience the lower 2/3 of the legs detach to give 2 cooking heights, and full height of 32.5"/83cm with the legs in place and 17"/43cm with the legs removed for table top and picnic cooking.
The patented funnel system inside the kettle eliminates flare-ups and unpleasant smoke emissions. It unites incredible grilling versatility and precision with healthy and delicious cooking results.
Indirect Grilling and Baking
For indirect barbecuing and roasting, the upper funnel is placed inside the kettle with the large opening pointing upwards. The heat from the gas burner rises up along the sides of the kettle, distributing an even, indirect heat from all sides. With the lid on, there's no need to turn the food at all throughout the cooking process.
Direct Cooking and Roasting
For grilling at very high temperatures or with the cast-iron griddle, the upper funnel is placed in the kettle with the small opening at the top. This creates high, concentrated heat in the middle of the cooking grid or griddle. The kettle lid is not absolutely necessary for this method of cooking.
