Tips When Using A Rotisserie
1. Check the weight of your food; Weber rotisseries have a maximum weight limit of 20lb maximum.
2. Use a drip pan filled with veggies / potatoes (with broth / water) underneath the rotisserie to catch the drippings to create great gravy and great tasting accompaniments.
3. Any recipe that calls for indirect heat for a larger piece of protein works well on a rotisserie.
4. Use grill mitts to keep hands safe whilst using the Weber BBQ.
5. Always refer to your instruction manual for safety and lighting instructions before turning on your BBQ / rotisserie.
6.Cook with the lid down for succulent results – the ultimate tool for a BBQ feast!
How about some pork roast or prime rib roast or even a round beef roast? 57cm Charcoal Kettles
The Weber 7495 Kettle BBQ Rotisserie set contains an extension ring, skewer and a motor. You can roast a whole chicken / turkey and other pieces of meat with the help of this electronic rotisserie designed for all 57cm diameter charcoal BBQ’s. (In case you’re unsure see the Compact 57cm, One Touch deluxe and Weber Performer).
When the BBQ is cold fit the rotisserie to the BBQ and set up the BBQ with the indirect cooking method on medium heat by setting the glowing briquettes to each side of the charcoal grate. Don’t forget to use a drip tray with a little water between the briquettes to catch the juices. Secure the meat onto the rotisserie spit and ensure secure with the holding forks. Close the BBQ lid and turn on the rotisserie and cook according to your recipe.
Rotisserie on the Q model BBQ’s like never before, thanks to the newly manufacturer Q rotisserie. The (fold-down) front shield sits on the BBQ grate to lift the BBQ lid to the correct height for roasting on the spit. Suitable for use with the 100/100 series, 200/2000 series and 300/300 series Q barbecues.
Whilst the BBQ is cold, lift the BBQ lid and fit the front shield to the rim of the BBQ. Light the burners on full for 5-10 minutes to allow the BBQ to pre-heat before turning of the middle burner (on the Q3000 models) or turning the single burner to low. Secure the meat onto the rotisserie spit and ensure secure with the holding forks. Close the BBQ lid and turn on the rotisserie and cook according to your recipe.
Gas BBQ Rotisseries
To fit the Spirit and Genesis models, this rotisserie comes with 3 forks which can handle a large chicken or roast.
Light the burners on full for 5-10 minutes to allow the BBQ to pre-heat before turning of the middle burner. Secure the meat onto the rotisserie spit and ensure secure with the holding forks. Close the BBQ lid and turn on the rotisserie and cook according to your recipe.
Why not add a rotisserie basket or skewer system to any Weber rotisserie to expand your cooking options. The basket can be used for potatoes, vegetables, fish, ribs and much much more. The skewer system can be used for shish and shami kebabs and even bread. Both these accessories will fit to all Weber BBQ rotisseries excluding the Q100 / Q1000 models.
