Makita brushcutter attachment 198768-1 to fit the Makita combi range with a rear guard and a twin line bump feed nylon cutting head as standard. A blade can be fitted to this attachment, you would need to purchase the optional blade, hex nut, cup and washer available from the related products above. For use with the DUX60 Combi engine.
Quick and easy to attach, simply push the selected attachment into the combi unit female connector until it locks into place. To remove the attachment simply press the red button on the shaft and pull the attachment out from the female connector.

Solidly made, looks as if it should last well. Replacing the line is a doddle because the spool dismantles easily. The line provided seems a tad lightweight, and breaks rather easily - I may try using a heavier grade line when it runs out.

As with all Makita products this item is well made, simple to use and looks like it will last. No brushcutter fittings supplied with it but given the price, no surprise! This works pretty well with the DUX60Z 2x18volt power head and makes for a light, quiet, reasonably powerful strimmer.

Best Price, but item is not as per the photo. The top guard cover and the rear mid sections of the guard are not included. A different image should be used.
The brushcutter is well made and effective, in use you do get covered in bits as the head rotates anti-clockwise, so throwing debris back against the guard and all over the operator. Use of overalls, safety glasses and face shield are essential .

I got the kit version of this which has a slight difference as there is no central part to the guard. Well made and robust attachment. Should give long service. Easy to fit, and takes a blade.
