Pillar Drills
Pillar drills are larger floor standing versions of a heavy-duty bench drill. The pillar or column of the drill is much extended and the pillar drill can be sited anywhere in the engineering workshop. It is usually bolted to the floor for stability and can be used to drill larger pieces of material than the equivalent powered bench drill.
