Power Units
A trimmer is essentially a petrol engine or battery powered motor attached to a handheld shaft, with the trimmer head on the operating end at ground level. You can also buy just the power unit and shaft, giving you the flexibility to the purchase only the accessories you need. With the the addition of simple clip-on attachments, the basic power unit becomes a multi-purpose tool, and can be transformed into a trimmer with line head or blade, pole saw, hedge trimmer, lawn edger, or brush in a matter of seconds. When not in use, the power unit and attachments are much easier to store and transport as they can be split.
