Offering a 35cm (14") bar length with a chain speed of 14.5m/s this Makita electric chainsaw has been designed to trim trees or cut logs quickly with ease. Operating from 230v mains supply, this 1800w chainsaw features a tool-less blade change / adjustment facility and comes supplied with the chain protector cover.
Weighing in at only 4.7kg the Makita UC3451 chainsaw has been designed with the end user in mind, not only is the machine comfortable to use but also is very efficient. Featuring an oil level window which allows the user to see when the chain oil needs to be refilled whilst the ergonomic soft grip means you can keep sawing in comfort.
Successor to the UC3520A chainsaw, the oil pump and tool-less tension adjustment have been improved and the exterior design has been altered. With an excellent build quality from the Makita brand this chainsaw will not disappoint.

I bought this to take to a remote off grid house to be powered by a 2.2kw generator. I am used to a petrol stihl, and found this makita very similar in performance but definitely quieter and less stressful to use. High chain speed feels slightly skittish at first but that is the only real difference. Felling 8" trees was not a problem. The cable should be red as it had a habit of hiding on dark ground (burnt forest!) I also managed to check it in on a flight (dismantled) in a standard suitcase with no restrictions, petrol engines, even dry are not allowed. Great saw if you are near a plug!
