Description
Designed with professional users in mind, the Stihl GTA 40 is a lightweight, handheld chainsaw pruner. Simple to use, the Stihl GTA40 is powerful and versatile for a range of chainsaw and pruning work either on the ground or whilst climbing.
Featuring a 6” bar and chain, the GTA40 is a lightweight alternate to a small top handle chainsaw. Powered by the AS battery range of 10.8v batteries, the pruner uses 2 x batteries and runs them in parallel for 21.6v of power. Thanks to the reliable EC motor the pruner has a variable speed trigger for a range of cutting jobs.
Offering a run time of 50 mins, or 200 cuts in 5cm² timber, the batteries can recharge up to 80% charge in just ½ an hour. An LED display shows you the remaining battery charge and will always give you the remaining charge time of the battery with the least charge, allowing you to efficient plan your work and charge your battery in good time.
With a 6” guide bar, the GTA40 can be used to cut in both a downwards and upwards direction. Fitted with a ¼” P chainsaw chain which can be tensioned on the side casing, captive nuts are featured on the guide bar to reduce the risk of losing nuts on the sprocket.
Easy to grip and control, the GTA40 comes with a soft grip handle with trigger control, and also a top handle to hold the pruner firmly and safely. An tool free oil tank is featured on this model of cordless pruner for automatic oiling of the chainsaw chain.
Available as a Body Only unit, or as a Kit with 2 x AS Batteries, AL5-2 twin charger and Tool case. Hard case tool box is only supplied with the Kit and not the Body Only version.
