Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions page. Here we have answered some of the most common questions we get asked.
How secure is my information when I place an order?
We value your security as top priority at World of Power, and you can enjoy peace of mind from our triple protection process to guard your details when you order on line with us. As well as privacy protection, we aim to dispatch your order as quickly and efficiently as possible from our warehouse. You can order on line at worldofpower.co.uk Or contact our web sales advisers on 01298 213 145, please note on orders placed by telephone goods must delivered to the cardholder's address.
World of Power fully comply with the data protection act and we use a reputable card payment solution Sagepay to process card transactions, we never see your full details. We are as secure as can be.
What if I want to place a telephone order?
If you are having any problems ordering online, please contact customer services who will be happy to try and help. *Please note calls to our offices are recorded for quality and training purposes. Customer Service hours: Monday - Friday - 9.00am - 5.00pm, Saturday - Closed (Showroom Open 9.00am - 1pm, Bank Holidays - Closed)
Where are my goods being dispatched from?
We despatch most of our goods from our central warehouse located in Buxton, Derbyshire. However to increase speed of delivery some products may be delivered directly from the manufacturer's own distribution centres. All goods are delivered via a reputable national carrier who will deliver direct to your door.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and debit cards including American Express, you can also pay by Paypal. If you would prefer to send a BACS payment these are also accepted.
You can pay by cheque but we request 10 working days for the cheque to clear prior to dispatching any goods and of course good old fashioned cash.
When do you take payment from me?
Payment is taken at the point of the order being accepted.
What if I want to order by telephone?
To place a telephone order simply call the team on 01298 213145 during our telephone opening hours – Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and we will be happy to process your order. However, we can only take orders by telephone if the delivery address that the order is going to matches the registered address of the card being used for payment.
What are the UK delivery charges?
World of Power offer FREE standard delivery on orders exceeding £100.00 (inc. VAT)** to mainland England, Wales and Southern Scotland. Orders under £100.00 (inc. VAT) are subject to a delivery charge of £5.99 (inc. VAT)
**Scottish Highlands / Northern Ireland incur extra delivery charges for parcels and pallets. This will be added to your order at checkout.
Pallet deliveries to Inner London will incur an extra charge, this will be added to your order at the checkout.

Where do you deliver to?
We deliver to the UK mainland and Northern Ireland. At this time we are unable to deliver to the offshore islands or outside of the UK.
How long will my delivery take?
Most parcel orders are despatched on a next working day delivery basis. At the time of order the product page should indicate if it is expected to take longer 1-3 or 4-6 working days. If any further delays are expected we will contact you to discuss your options.
Pallet deliveries generally leave the same day if ordered by 2pm, we send pallets on a ‘book in’ service. Once the pallet has been despatched our courier partner will contact you to arrange a suitable day and time for delivery.
Can we delivery on a Saturday?
Yes, we can deliver on a Saturday. However, this service will incur additional costs dependant upon postcode. To arrange this service please contact us prior to placing your order.
How do I track my order?
At the point that your parcel is dispatched from our warehouse you will receive an e-mail confirmation giving you full tracking information and a link to the courier partner’s website. To track your pallet delivery, please contact World of Power with your name and full delivery post code.
Can I collect my order for the Buxton store?
Yes orders can be collected from our showroom in Buxton, Derbyshire Monday – Friday 9-5 Sat 9-1. Simply order online and select click and collection option then someone from our webteam will call when the order is ready or call us to place the order.
What happens if I am not in when you try to deliver my order?
If you are not in when we try to deliver your order the courier will leave you a card with their details and your consignment number, you can re-arrange delivery or arrange to collect the parcel from your local courier depot if that is more convenient to you.
Where are my goods dispatched from?
Goods are primarily despatched from our warehouse in Buxton, Derbyshire. Additionally goods can also be despatched direct from our suppliers.
How can I return a faulty product?
If the product you purchase is not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose or as described, we will offer a repair, exchange or refund as appropriate and in accordance with your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Any such products can be returned to us free of charge. Simply contact World of Power and we can arrange a collection on your behalf. * Subject to inspection.
Can I return an unwanted Item?
If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel the order in writing by fax, letter or e-mail within 14 working days after the day on which the goods are received. Without giving a reason and the full price and delivery charge will be refunded.
You will be responsible for the costs of returning the product. The product should be returned as soon as reasonably practicable. Should you fail to do so, we are entitled to charge you for the costs of recovery of the goods. You have a duty to take reasonable care of the goods whilst in your possession.
If on return of any product during the cancellation period it is not received in a reasonable condition this may allow us to make a claim for breach of your statutory duty to take reasonable care of the goods.
All returned products of this nature are photographed on arrival at our goods in department. Goods must be in an unused and re-saleable condition.
When will I receive my refund?
Refunds will be granted once the goods have been received back into our warehouse and they have been inspected. Funds would usually appear back into your account within 3 working days after the refund has been processed.
Do you respect my privacy?
Yes, at World of Power you will not be bombarded with emails, we do occasionally send out related emails to products you have purchased but this is not very often to avoid annoyance. And of course you can opt out if you do not wish to receive any emails from us.
We never share information with third parties other than registering certain models of machinery with their respective manufacturers for warranty purposes.
How can I contact World of Power?
You can email the World of Power Web Team using email@example.com at any time – we aim to respond to all emails within 48 working hours.
You can call us on 01298 213145 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
You can chat with members of our Web Team on live chat directly from our web site, this feature can be found at the bottom right of the web page and will show when it is live or not, it is generally live between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
You can visit our showroom 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm Saturday, you will always be sure of a friendly welcome.
How do I make a complaint if I find I need to?
Please email any complaints to firstname.lastname@example.org addressed to the Customer Services Manager. We aim to respond to all complaints within 5 working days.
Do you have discount code?
We occasionally run on site and selected media product promotions that may carry an additional discount code to be used on the web site, telephone and in the showroom. These promotions are generally for limited time periods and World of Power Web Team members have no prior knowledge of when they will start or any indication of when they will finish.
