How To Keep Your Stihl Chainsaw Sharp

Stihl offer a range of chain sharpening options to ensure your chainsaw chain gives you optimum cutting performance every time. The better value option is the traditional filing kit, this kit comes complete with a file holder,  round file, flat file and gauge in a wrap-around case.  With this you will get an accurate chain sharpen but will need to go around the chain twice – once to sharpen the tooth and then again to lower the depth gauge. The newer ‘all singing, all dancing’ Stihl EasyFile is a fantastic addition to any chainsaw owners kit!  The settings ensure your chainsaw chain is filed at the exact right point and angle to ensure the best cut,  and lowers the depth gauge at the same time to the correct depth below the cutting edge – ensuring that not too much or too little wood is cut into by each tooth, thus […]

Autumn is Officially Here!

There are two different dates which mark the end of summer and the beginning of autumn – astronomical or meteorological autumn. For some, today marks the day where fall begins meaning the days will be cooler and the nights will be darker as winter draws ever closer. When it comes to autumn, there is a buzz around the vibrant colours of the leaves changing as they slowly begin to change before falling to the ground.  Now whilst this is a beautiful sight, clearing lawns, pathways and driveways can be a backbreaking and time consuming task which quite frankly no one enjoys. When it comes to clearing up around the home and garden, the quickest and easiest option is to use a leaf blower or a leaf blower vacuum which will quickly gather unwanted leaves which if left can turn into a slippery mush or if dry, use your lawnmower to […]

EXCEL-lent First Barbecue Purchase!

Where do I start, I am a complete novice when it comes to barbecuing but I love to cook, give me a recipe and I can follow it. But what better way to be able to do this outside and enjoy that rare sunny weather at the same time. Back in April I finally moved house which has a lovely spacious garden, and after years of living in a flat with no garden I knew what had to be done. We were at the beginning of BBQ season, Barbecues and spares were selling fast and it was really making me want to try Outback. I was pretty clueless about barbecues until I started working for World of Power, but after dealing with customers wanting to breathe life back into their trusty old models it made me really want to try one for myself. Now I didn’t want to go too […]
